The terms you buy under, in plain language.

Who you are buying from
Vhee’s Adornment is a jewellery studio in Nigeria. Everything sold here is made by hand in the studio. Placing an order means you accept the terms on this page, so it is worth the five minutes.
Prices
Prices are in Nigerian naira and include no hidden additions — what the cart totals is what you pay. Any figure shown in US dollars is a courtesy conversion at a fixed rate, to help you judge the cost; the naira amount is the price, and the one that is charged.
Delivery is a flat fee shown in the cart before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but never on an order already placed: an order records what each piece cost at the moment you bought it, and later edits do not reach back.
Your order
An order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we confirm payment and email you a confirmation — not when the checkout form is submitted.
Stock is only committed once payment clears. If a piece sells out between your adding it to the cart and paying, we will tell you and refund that item in full rather than quietly substitute something else.
We may decline an order — a mistaken price, a piece we cannot make, an address we cannot deliver to. If we do, you get your money back in full and an explanation.
Ready to ship, and made to order
Pieces marked ready to ship exist and are waiting. Pieces marked made to order are strung after you buy them, which is why they take longer; the product page tells you which is which before you pay.
Custom commissions are quoted individually and are not covered by the ordinary returns arrangement below, because they are made to your specification and cannot be sold to anyone else. We will agree the details with you in writing before starting work.
Handmade means variation
Every piece is strung, knotted and finished by hand, one at a time. Beads differ slightly in tone and size, and no two pieces are identical. Photographs are taken as faithfully as we can manage, but screens vary and a colour may read differently in your hand than on your phone.
Small variation of this kind is the nature of handmade work, not a fault. Genuine faults are another matter, and are covered below.
Delivery
We deliver within Nigeria. Timescales, areas and costs are set out on our shipping page, which is the authority on this rather than anything here.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, tell us within 48 hours with a photograph and we will put it right.
Returns, faults and cancellation
If a piece arrives faulty or is not what you ordered, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. That right exists in law and nothing on this page reduces it.
Our returns page sets out the window and the condition pieces must come back in. Custom commissions and earrings are the usual exceptions — the first because they were made for you, the second for hygiene.
You can cancel an order that has not yet shipped by writing to us, and we will refund it in full.
Accounts
An account is optional; you can buy as a guest. If you create one, keep the password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
Past guest orders become visible in your account only once you have confirmed your email address. This is deliberate: without it, anyone could see a stranger’s delivery address by registering with their email.
We may suspend an account being used fraudulently or to abuse the shop or its staff.
What we are responsible for
We are responsible for loss you suffer as a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses — this is a shop for personal purchases.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not permit us to limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes fall to the Nigerian courts. If you live elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under the law of your own country.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published when you placed the order, not whatever is here later.
